Every gemstone is hand selected by Designer Judy Klimek for it’s unique quality and beautiful characteristics. Judy uses one of a kind gemstones from around the world from various reputable sources to create her Collections. Every design is unique and varies in size, shape and carat weight. Our gems have been cut to perfection as well as left in their natural state to show a variety of brilliance, originality and bold attributes.

Vintage Materials

Previously used or ‘vintage’ gemstones, pendants and metals are occasionally part of Judy Klimek designs. Some of the ‘vintage’ materials have come from existing pieces and repurposed into a Judy Klimek necklace or earring pair. ‘Vintage’ materials may show signs of wear, scratches, or scuffs. Designs that are labeled “vintage” will include full disclosure of any imperfections within the product descriptions.

Shell Pearls

Shell pearls are laboratory made from the shell of an oyster. The raw material for the base of the pearl is a ‘mother of pearl bead’, which is coated and polished to the final shape of the pearl. Shell pearls will always keep its shine and color, and will not be affected by sweat, perfume and detergents. Another reason for using shell pearls is the ability to offer a wider selection of colors and shapes.

Treatments

Certain gemstones have been treated to enhance it’s natural color and beauty. These treatments include heating, dying and glazing. These treatments will be disclosed on each individual product description.
